The Audio Processor AP-1 Mk 2 is an indispensable module for everybody who wants to process external audio signals in modular systems.

The AP-1 Mk 2 provides you with three sections: Pre-amp, envelope follower and compressor.

For a quick visual overwiev there is an overload- LED, a further one for the 48V phantom power and a chain of LEDs for displaying the intensity of the compressor. You can switch between microphone and instrument input or you override the pre-amp by using the COMP-IN input (switching socket).

Pre-amp: A rotary switch in 10dB-steps (6 - 66dB) select the coarse pre-amplification, the fine control from -5dB to 5dB is done with the GAIN TRIM control. Microphones can be amplified from 1dB to 71dB, the instrument input from -5dB to 64dB. Phase can be inverted.

Compressor: The signal pre-compressor and pre-envelope follower can be adjusted with the rotary switch ENVELOPE FILTER, which blends from high- to lowpass. The relation between compressed and pre-amplified signal can be set with the MIX control.

Envelope follower: Compared to other envelope followers, this one works very quickly and precisely. ATTACK and RELEASE are set with the corresponding controls and can also be voltage controlled. The control voltage extracted from the audio signal is connected to the compressor?s side chain input and can be output normal or inverted at the sockets for further processing.

Generally all Cwejman products are screened from interferences and contain calibration options at the backside, on the AP-1 Mk 2 just the brightness of the LEDs.
